ABOUT ME

In 2022, I realized I was at a standstill. I was comfortable. But at the same time, I was anxious and tired. With an unfulfilling job, neglected relationships, and overlooked health - life was mediocre at best. Being self conscious about my body started as a kid when I was playfully called lechon (the giant roasted pig you see at Filipino parties). That didn't stop me from eating anything and everything, but it made me aware that I wasn't the "ideal" body type. Throughout my adolescence, I wished to be tiny because people around me attached so much value to petite clothing sizes. Ultimately, this created a negative relationship with exercise and food, making me struggle to be consistent with my health and fitness, which caused the personal views surrounding my body image and self-esteem to fluctuate frequently. I went through many ups and downs with weight, thinking thin = beautiful. But when I reached that smaller size, I would soon rebound because eating close to nothing and doing hours of cardio wasn't sustainable. I even tried a couple of workout programs, but nothing stuck. It wasn't until I started rock climbing that I changed my perspective on "working out." From there, I picked up kickboxing and weight training. Then, pole fitness. At last, everything clicked. I fell in love with moving my body, and it no longer felt like "working." I finally cultivated a space to appreciate my body and live as I wanted. Through movement, I found clarity. I aim to help you find clarity in your health and fitness journey through structured and progressive training.
